Idle's too high
Hi guys....can anyone tell me if there is a way to turn the idle down on a 93 Camaro with a 3.4L V6..? Mine sits at almost 2000 and goes as high as 3000 when its warming up in the driveway and stepping on the gas does not bring it down.When I put it in gear at this high idle the back wheels wanna spin free.Even after shes warm it still idles at about 1200-1500 and I feel thats way too high. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx for your response....is what you're talking about called the "Air Charge Temperature Sensor"..? If so thats only $20 ...pretty inexpensive part but I need real bad.
Thnx again

+1 for the tps or iac but have you tried taking off your throttle body cable an check to see if thats mess things up? i would try to start it with the cable off and see if it will drop your R's since your not getting a SES light

IAC = Idle Air control
TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
Theer should be no change if the throttle cable is removed. The IAC allows air into the engine to regulate idle via a variable stepper motor that responds to a 5v referance signal IIRC.

you can usually loosen the TPS sensor screws and move the sensor slightly.
it can change the idle speed
