put it up on jack stands and let the car idle in gear and listen for rear end noise, do you just hear a pop or can you feel it?

For one- Looking
Torque arm bushing?
Oh and to make this fit in the Kill Section:
I just figured out I have this problem today. My wife was complaining of a wierd clunk sound, so she "let" me take the car to work today. While at a light, some nimrod in a new GT pulls up next to me and starts gunning his motor. Looks over at me and laughs. The road is clear ahead for at least 2 lights. I decide to give this guy a little run(not the best idea when you know there's a problem with your car mind ya). I get it wound up to about 2500 and hold waiting for the light. Quick glance over at the car next to me, and I think the guy is about to crap himself. The light changes, and he didn't stand a chance.
a mostly stock 85 Firechicken with a 383, beafy cam, 850 holley, race ready TH 350, Trans brake, Stout gears, posi, and a whole grocery list of other extras. Versus a GT that's so stock it still has the factory sticker on it. Yeah he stood about as much of a chance as the bug that hit the windshield.
Well after the 2 second run, I shut it down and notice the clunk my wife was talking about. When I checked it out, the bushing was missing a chunk. Sooo it's off to get another part.Last edited by Tommycat; 03-12-2008 at 04:57 AM.
