Thread: Any NEW 350z encounters?

02-12-2008, 05:19 PM #21Really? Then why do 350Z's hardly gain any power from bolt ons?? The engine is at its N/A potential, thats how they get 300HP out of it from the factory. Try and use some common sense.
So I mention that I have a coworker who has a Civic and now all of a sudden I have "Honda buddies"?? It doesn't run 13's, either, so you're wrong again.
Either way its a car from Japan so your going to try and find something and make it look bad.

I clearly said the car is AT ITS N/A POTENTIAL. Twin turbos would mean its no longer N/A. You are really slow....
I said it runs ON 13's (In english 13 inch mexican rims) Not 13 second 1/4 miles are you on crack?

Maybe one of us should go to a 350Z forum and spy on them for the team? See what they have to say. I am sure they would know the car better then we do.

Fastest N/A time for a Z is 12.3 btw to those that think the 350z is maxed from the factory. But most full bolt on Zs run in the high 12s low 13s which I know isnt very impressive.

Side note--
I was bored/ tired, and watching ESPN - had some sort of Drifting competition on late last night -- like 1am or something.
It was actually quiet cool.
Not only Imports, I saw Mustangs, SRT Chargers, Pontiac Solstice, C5 Vette, and ofcourse some imports.
It was impressive- To control you car when it seems to be on the verge of losing control, I liked it.
Seems harsh on your ride, but I guess they set it up like that to take the drifting punishment.
Cool stuff.
I know I get a smile every time I get my rear tires a little loose. I can on imagine how much fun it would be to power through a turn at those angles.

Drifting aside from drag racing is my next favorite sport! Its kick ass! The old school camaro, New mustang and viper are by far the best, There is a few Z06 vettes suppose to be setting up there cars for this season so we will see how it goes.
If you have never seen drifting in real life!! Your totally missing out. It will put your thoughts into another world.

Umm...no.
350Z's run 14's, high 13's with bolt ons. Most of the stock ones are mid 14's with average drivers.
And no, a 350Z isn't a drivers race with an LS. Just stop the bullshit now, the car didn't just gain a second and a half in the 1/4 mile out of nowhere.
Just what we need, another import troll

He said he had owned both a Z and a WS6.
He's probably spent a lot time on the Z forums, where the Z is God, kinda like the LS1 seems to be around here...
I think he's right that the '07 and up Z is going to be a drivers race against your typical LS1.
I wonder what the final drive ratio is on the new Z?
--Edit-- Google says: 3.54 gears in the Z.Last edited by 2000LS1Bird; 02-14-2008 at 05:01 PM.

350Z's actually can run high 13's in stock trim with the right driver. I've seen it done twice. One 13.9 and a 13.8@100. Even those goofy guys @ Motor Trend got 13.77 in an M6 Track Edition. But yes most guys go low 14's bone-stock.
As far as my last 350Z encounter, it was with a 2004 hardtop/M6 sportin' a Greddy turbo kit (upgraded from the original package). He claimed 402 rwhp. I didn't even have my bottle that night so I ran him on motor and took him by three cars.97 Z28 1LE #53 11.08/122.84 N/A, 9.82/131.06 150-shot

Yeah but its an "import" so according to Wesman we shouldn't discuss it!

You would be surprised that some of the top drifters in the world drive, yes you guessed it, domestic cars. Fast and furious made it seem like it was import only but thats BS, just like how they made imports for racing only (but we all know that ricing out a car is an excuse for having a small penis but they can say but look my car has neons and rims)
