killed an LS1 firebird last night

Ok last night my wife and I was heading into town to get somthing to eat, so here we were cruising at 60mph when we came upon what I thought was a v6firebird with that little spoiler on its back. I never even give it any thought until we started to go around him in the hammer lane and the dude nails it, I was like WTF oh no you didn't, so out of 6th and into 4th we go. now back even with him he counted it down and it was on. I pulled on him atleast three to four cars, until traffic came into play. Oh but it gets better at the next red light we get lined up he asked me what was is my car I told him a stock LS1 with a muffler(LOL) he said his LS1 didn't have anything for me back there and he was going to redeem himself when the light changes. Poor guy didn't stand a chance i pulled on him from the get go until we had to turn off at Applebees. WOW what a rush....

probably Auto... us Auto Trans Guys... have come to realise our top end sucks poopie... so we try to race from a dig or 10mph rolls... hehe

did your wife have fun to. maybe she should have drove to hurt his feeling even more, lol.

it's really surprising how different some of our cars can be. stock for stock and mod for mod

SLP lid with smooth belows, edelbrock headers, 373 gears, hotchkis rear lca with relocation kit and a tune.

very nice... used the 3.73's to retain good drivabillity or what?

She loved it. and to be honest this is her daily driver, not mine.

it all depends on where im going. I have a 97 Talon for fuel milage but my main driver is a 2000 Tahoe limited

Good kill but why would you lie to the guy about your mods? I don't get it.

Also at a red light do you really want to tell someone all the stuff that is done to your car, for me i would have to write it all down, to many little things here and there that have done, even my sig. doesn't show everything.

ya, but a "muffler" was the least of his mods. I feel ya on the listing the whole mods, but that's just when you say "a bunch of stuff."

yeah i do agree but if i'm at the track and waiting between passes and then someone asks me what is done ,i tell them just because i finally have time, but usually on the first few passes or if i do see someone at the gas station is is more suspenseful to race not knowing anything about the other car, then afterwards pop the hood and show 'em what works

So it was a formula firebird then? Unless he sucks hardcore at driving there should be no reason you left him like you did. I could tell you based on the mods you have you wouldn't get real awful far ahead of me and all I have is a tune and an intake.
