    12 seconds?

You guys are the experts here.... Do you think I can hit high twelves with this combination and Nittos? Car is a M6.

1999 Camaro SS, 232/234 cam (112 LSA) .598" lift, ported heads, Pacesetter LT's, ORY, Magnaflow catback, stock intake (for now), MTI lid, custom tune.

That setup should get you mid-low 12's. There's people running high 12's stock with sticky tires.

Listen this might sound stupid, but theres no issue with a driver in that race. Hes got H/C and a decent driver should be able to put that car in the 11's. You can miss a gear and still run 12's all day

Of course there is a driver issue after all there is a human behind the wheel. Traction, missing shifts, etc... could all spell bad times. I would be extremely disappointed to run high 12s in an fbody with 420rwhp.

420 Hp and a good driver with good tires you will see low 12's to high 11's according to the elevation and weather conditions of course.

man i think that you should know a little bit more about what you do with your car before asking something like that:_) that combo should be somewhere from 11.90 to 12.4 easliy:_) even with a bad driver the car should run about a 12.70.

OK, Ok .... I get your point. I was just looking at driver error. I have never been to the track and plan on going soon. I just figured on being conservative based on elevation, driver error, stuff like that. I know the combination is there. Just seeing what others had run with combinations like this. May just be too conservative and I realize the factors in to getting into the twelves or elevens. Appreciate all of the replys.

Very nice #'s Is is a Comp Cam? Has the car been tuned & does it have suspension work? Fyi, my buddy's '99 SS runs 11.5@118/119 all day on a Nitto DR with less than what you're puttin' to the wheels in an M6 with H/C, LT's, tune & full suspension w/4.10's, so expect at least a high 11 based on elevation cuz we're in IL

there is a guy makin 34 whp and runnin 11.6 on this site. then again he is runnin an auto and 275 drag tires. i think in the 6 spd you should be good for low 12's, but if you really know how to bang the gears, and launch the crap out of it, then you should put it in the 11's
