2nd gen firebird ls1 engine swap
i just wanted to know if anyone can refer me to some who has done a ls1 engine swap on a second generation firebird? is there a conversion kit?

I've got an 80 Formula and will have and extra LS when I upgrade mine We put a Tuned port in my cousins '79 T/A and it was a bitch until we got a painless wire kit....

Painless is the company's name. Its the kit for a 86' Vette. The more I think about this, the more I want to put my LS1 in my old car!!! The maroon one you can barely see....

You guys need to check out extremefirebird.com. He took the engine, and interior from a 2001 ta and put in his second gen bird.

If you get the DIY channel, there is a company building a LS7 powered bandit '77 T/A for Burt Reynolds and they are going to make 25 of them. I can't recall teh shows name, but will check...

Thats really good work. I had to look twice before I noticed the struts, then I saw that you had changed the whole front subframe. Nice. I'd like to do that to my 74 camaro one day, If I can ever get back to it. It's been a stalled project for the last 11 years now.
