What is the deal with all the SS Maros?

I know i got my non-ws6 T/A and i have only seen about 3 in my area compared to 20 ws6s that live around me. I kinda dont wanna get the ws6 hood anymore lol.

Raced another SS tonight, Silver, Not sure of the mods, we never spoke. It was a round a 00-02 model.

We raced on the highway, punched it at 60 3 times. first time we hit traffic and he took off first, pretty close to even. second, we punch it together, I pull only 1 car by 4th gear and then pull pretty good, 3rd time he punches it first again, I get by him in 3rd and pull in 4th gear. He let off every time halfway through my fourth gear. Guess he didnt like to go to fast. I will usaully race all the way through 4th gear.

It was alot of fun, His Plate said FRY RCE, thats great. It must have been modded some what, just dont know in what way.

When i had my WS6 i raced a lot of camaros around town, and for some reason it always seemed like the Z28s ran better than the SS camaros. Still havent figured that one out

Well the z28 is a little lighter than the SS if you have a stripper z28

Ya down just outside of springfield in the town of rogersville is where everyone goes to run there cars. Its usually setup for quarter mile runs but sometimes they do eight mile runs

I raced another SS tonight, 2000 model, m6 with headers and SLP loudmouth, He also has a new cam and a 12 bolt with 4.10 gears. Anyway it sounds mean, I have raced him about 3 months back, but now he has a cam.
So we punch it from 10 mph in 1st gear, I spin bad and he pulls pretty good. He has Drag Radials so he hooked better. We have to let off of it around 70 mph, So we turn off that road and try again, this time we punch it in 2nd, I pull by 2 cars or so. Then we hit the highway, We do a 60 punch, I pull about 2 cars by 100, about 3 cars by 120. We pull into the gas station, He is a real cool guy, he says he has ran a 12.6 before the cam. Now I think he has a low 12 sec car.

Anyway, Missouri is full of SS Camaros, which isnt a bad thing. It seems like I see alot more modded Maros than I do Trans Ams, wonder why that is?

from living in missouri i know of 5x more modded ss's then there are modded trans ams, for some reason there are alot of stock if not stock near it trans ams in missouri..however there are 6 highly built turbo ones that are just plain mean...well 6 minus 1 now because i saw a guy blow his turbo flying down the highway. but you will find more modded camaros then trans ams in missouri

Or maybe his friend is a good driver, and he is just an excellant driver. Or one could say that a automatic car is easier to launch, than a Manual?

Usually a M6 will close the gap it looses off the line, through out the race. Your friend needs to work on his shifting, probally. Just a guess. Maybe your Maro is just plain faster and or lighter. Either way, its pretty cool to win against a car when you have the same engines and same basic cars. Nice job!!

I was raceing one night and a laser RS pulls up next to me, i go wtf it was bone stock looking with a little rust. So i put it in 2 and floor it i jump 2 cars then all i hear is a swirling turbo pull past me, he pulled 4 cars on me by the time i was at 6grand in 3rd. I really dont care if its close or far i just like being suprised.
