Welcome to the site!
Very clean good looking car. I wanted to build one (59) also. I was going to do a post car with a 377/Liberty and a 300 shot on a 10" wheel.
How much does she weigh?
How fast is she at the track?
Can we get some info on the drivetrain. . . . . . . . . ?

tan- 1980 malibu wagon
Thanks gentlemen. Well it's 4,600 lbs with me in it, 509ci with dart 345cc heads, F2 Procharger and a 225 shot of nitrous. It runs on E85. Ford 9" with Detroit locker 370 gears, 35 spline axels. A 400 trans with gear venders overdrive. Four way air ride, still runs a stock X frame. The fastest so far is 9.67 @141 I'm hoping to improve that a little.(I'm sure you've heard that before) Shoot my new L92 heads almost flow as much. LOL Those are on a new LS2 crate motor I have just got running. It's in a 1980 Malibu wagon. Rod
P.S. LS2Tuner, I may need your help with the Malibu motor tune if I can't figure it out. I got it started with the #6 chip MSD gives you with the 6012 box. Thanks RodLast edited by 59rat; 07-16-2008 at 03:32 PM. Reason: P.S.

WOW, some nice old cars on here!! Kinda thought about posting my piece, but starting to think maybe not...lol. Nah, it's what I work on when the Z28's running, or being cut/welded on like it is now. Anyways, its a '68 malibu with a 402BB with a few go-fast goodies. But mainly just like the old car and wanna have fun with it. Please don't be too rough on the paint/body, it needs alot of work bad, but until the Z28 is finished it's staying like it is...lol.

Arctic White- 01 TA / 06 Duc 749D
66 Impala, 4DR Auto. has stock 327 and Powerglide. Teal inside and out. was thinking about keeping the 327 and upgrading to a better xmsn, but there are some really sweet deals on LS1/M6 or A4 packages these days. so i'll either go with an LS1 or keep the 327 and throw a blower on her. what do you guys think.

Thanks! Yea, she was pretty rough when I got her. The flat/semi gloss actually doesn't look all that bad. I mean, since the paint's alittle rough, the wheels are rough, the trim is alittle rough... it all matches...lol. If it had nice shinny paint, itd look goofy right now..ha.
