Alot of people think its a trans am or fomula, because of the w68 performance package. Yeah, all f-bodies are awsome, v8 or not. my stock v6 can beat most ricers.
a guy i know from car shows has a 97 rs camaro that he twin turbo'd. copied the sts rear mount system and just kept modding and tuning. let me tell you what, he suprises a good many people. i think he runs high 12s. pretty respectable in my eyes. then again he bought the car for cheap and fabbed this system up from used parts, so he really didnt spend alot.

that of course is the exception and you really would love having an ls1. right out of the gate youre pretty much killing people. plus modding an all ready 300 hp motor has its benefits.....

i'd save for the ls1. bump for your mom because she seems really damn cool.

In my hometown, it pisses people off so bad, because when I first got the car, a v6 mustang would start to pull away, and now I beat the GT's, and most people here drive trucks, Mustang GT's or, rice! haha.
I would love an LS1, but I'm just 18, a v6 is just more practical.

Saving for a Ls1 has just started, i will keep the v6 as a daily driver and when i come up with alot of money i will turbo it. The Ls1 will be driven on weekends, weather premitting of course. All this will take a while, but i think it can be done, i will then finally have my dream car. Does this sound good to you guys?

just be happy with what you have...

    dont turn into this bitch...
Ditto my friend. There's still alot of fun to be had with a 3.8L V6, plenty of mods, etc. Plus yours is one of the nicest looking V6s they made. Make it the best it can be, aaand then someday, upgrade to WS6 T/A! That's my plan anyway.

im glad as heck my dad didnt let me get my car till i was 17, i drove a pickup till then, and got a lot of experiance driving, a friend bought a 94 lt1 formula (POS!!) when he was 15, fixed it up (and keeps fixing it), he didnt have enoupgh sense to let off the accelerator when he started power sliding going down a wet entrance ramp on to I70, we do a 360 accross 2 lanes of semi traffic and are sitting on the white line, me facing a BAMF semi coming head on!!! god we were soooo lucky!!!

another + of waiting you have more money saved up to get a nicer car ex: ls1
    and maturity and sense.
