Wow, has this site changed over the years. I remember being a member in 2002+ and I was here with a turbocharged 99 GT and people were cool. Now some of you seem far from car enthusiasts, but seem more like wild kids. I never heard this much crap spewed out at the track during GM vs Ford events probably because someone would have ended up under a car or in a garbage can.

Anyway, I have been a GM fan for over 25 years and driving them for 17 years, but still respect other fast cars. My GT ran 10s on pump gas and had no problem dealing with any local LS1s on a regular basis. I'm glad I bought more of a neutral car this time and with the upgrades I just made, look forward to handing out more beatings.

This is what I've noticed lately too... Thought it was just me, I was a member back in early '03. What happened? The site shutdown for awhile?

well.. in all honesty… all this is because someone had to come in here and shoot their mouth off.. acting like they know all (not saying I do.. because no one does)… but I don’t think it was an LS1 driver..
me personally .. I don’t have problems whit drivers of other vehicles.. until they start making comments that just aren’t called for..

You may not like it so much when you run into an 03/04 with a KB blower. Will happen sooner or later if you race enough of them.

one of the guys i cruise around with just sold one of his supras and bought an 04 cobra with a KB blower...527 to the wheels or something like that. it's out of comission right now since he just blew 3 pistons. come spring we want to make some runs..his KB cobra against my heads/cam and nitrous(planned winter mod). the guy who ownes the shop where i get the work done on the SS also said he would like to look into some custom ground cams that he thinks would work really well with the heads we just put on.

that being said...it's true what you posted...KB cobras are nothing to be taken lightly

Damn that sucks for him and his wallet. He must have had an awfully bad tune to break forged pistons at 527 rwhp.

It was funny when I had my 99 GT, most of the guys I would hang with owned 98-00 Z28s. They were definitely cool guys to say the least. One of them had an 00SS auto that had a protorque converter and a few other bolt-ons, but after he did the heads & cam, the car was real fast. I couldn't believe what a difference it made.

527? that is pretty weak for KB cobra. Blew a piston? Who tuned the car? It should be rin the 600rwhp range.

i will race you ,and you may beat me but the car does run 7.30-7.40 in the 1/8 . we will race from a dead stop . none of that highway bullshit , and you can make a video but what do you have done to your car and what time do you run in the 1/8 ,so that the people on the forums can know what i am up against and what did your car dyno at? the gt dyno at 350rw.hope to hear from you .
