SS Solo classification
I have a 98 SS with the 350hp kit from SLP. Am I still A Stock with these mods? I was wondering becuase I belive that the exhaust, lid and other items from the kit were available as stage upgrades when the car was ordered. Anybody have any insight? The car is too loud to lie about modifications!

What SLP kit? I have a SLP SS and this is the first time I've heard of a SLP kit. I know there're optional SLP upgrades and base alterations that SLP does like headers, cam, suspention (optional) and a few others.

you are stock. once you modify your suspension by adding subframes, you change classes

If in that list of mods there are subframe connectors, then consider yourself SM (Street Modified). No lower class allows SFC. There has been a push to get SFC legal in SP (Street Prepared) but that has not happened yet. Download a copy of the Solo rules from this site and read up on the allowable mods for whatever class you decide to run in.

SM is a VERY competetive class and usually ruled by someone with a BMW M5 with tons of money (or so it goes in my region). I finished 5th for the year in my local SM division (including one 1st place finish) but got STOMPED in Nationals. F-bodies usually do better in ESP (and the index is better) if your car is legal in that class.
