There's a few ways of missing gears. You can not push the shifter in gear all the way and it pops out of gear when you release the clutch or you can go to 4th instead of 2nd or some other gear or just grind them like crazy for a few seconds before you find the right gear and I'm sure there's other ways.

Good news!!! Turns out I didn't bend the fork and it wasn't my fault. A pressure spring fell out of my clutch disk????
