Depends on where I go, my gf's streets kill me though. Can't stand taking the TA there. Fine on the highway, city streets are deadly.

yea mine used to be like that when i have my camaro, im planning on changing this set up down the road back to a catback, and running 2 cutouts after the headers for the track and keep it quiet when im on the street.

I can't believe how much clearance you have...wow. In retrospect I kinda wish I went with a y-pipe. Can't beat the performance or the sound of TD's. Thanks for the info.

Talk to Luos buddy, hes running duals under his. The only difference I think is he is running 2.5 inch piping custom instead of the TSP duals. I'd sell the TSP's and get something new fab'd up.

Clearance isn't a problem with a stock rearend.
My problem was the Moser 9" is so large, we had to take the 3" pipes down to 2.5" to keep them from banging.
    Everything else is 3" piping.

    So I was partially right.

Are you running the sweet thunders or the dynomax bullets? The sweet thunders tend to have a tad more clearance than the bullets. It isn't noticeable tho. If you look under Luos's car, its pretty tucked in, the streets by him aren't always pretty either. I think if I remember correctly hes got a 17 inch wheel lowered on the eibach pro springs. I rode in slowass last week with him and didn't hear any scraping (thats also taking into consideration he had the cutouts open ). Then again I think hes got the V6 springs in the rear for drag racing right now.

My point being depending upon what series tire you have on the stock 16 inch wheels, you shouldn't be scraping like that. Have you got it up on a lift to see where the rub marks are on the pipes?

The only thing I scrape is the flange on the driverside cutout. Very rarely on the TTII's, but a little more often on the shorter skinnies.
I haven't ever tapped any of the piping.

Oh...and my car sits LOW on the skinnies.

Dynomax bullets. Scrapes only on driver side under the muffler and where the exhaust exits. Coming off of the x-pipe the exhaust dips down a bit, which doesn't help my clearance. Running 555r's on the 16 inch rim.

Any possibility of shortening the hanger by just a smidge and getting some heat shielding in between the body and the pipe. Im thinking 1/4 of an inch or so is all you need to prevent that from happening. NT555 245/55 R16?

That pic was taken at a muffler shop trying to do just that. Said he couldn't do it. Yep, those tires.

Hmm. Almost seems like muffler size needs to be changed to a smaller diameter. The only other thing I can think of is that X-pipe being tweaked down needs to be tweaked level. But I don't see how thats possible without breaking the welds.

to bad you couldn't turn the turn downs out towards the tires a little. That'd gain you a smidgen of clearance and would also keep the exhaust from beating directly on the ground under the car.
