02 WS6 Vs. SL55 AMG
Hey guys, guess what i was able to have a run with today? My dads last car, an SL55 AMG. We were goin down a two lane road and i pull past him, then he rips by me. So then we get next to each other he gives me a nod, and i do the three honk stomp from a 45 mph roll and stop at about 90 mph. Believe it or not, I STOMPED him. haha it was crazy and unbelievable, but I had his ass by about 2 or 3 car lengths, it was bad ass.
Just thought you'd like to know .
My car - Corsa cat-back, HPP3, Short stick, SLP lid with k&n, SLP STB, UMI Boxed sfc's, and soon to be Mac long tubes with no cats and jet hot coating

So a almost stock LS-1 beat a 469 hp, and 500 lb/tq car??
I thought that those cars were like low 12`s in the 1/4.
Good kill i guess.

I thought those SL55 AMG where quick for big cars? And you put 2-3 car lengths from a roll on one and you are almost stock.
Hey the same thing happened to me the other day. I was driving my Z28 and it is almost stock too, and I ran into a Ford GT and I beat it by 10-11 car lengths. HaHa in your dreams and mine too.

I dunno guys, it was definitely strange and i thought for sure i was gonna get it handed to me, but nope. It is a very fast car, I know if we kept going he would blow past me past 100 or so mph. Unlimited those cars do 186 untill the tires would blow because the car is so damn heavy.

I know, all mercedes are except the DTM and the SLR. Thats why i said unlimited, they have anotehr limiter at 186 because past that, the tires can't hold the 4500 lbs of car doing those speeds.

The thing weighs over 1000 lbs more than an F-car and who knows about the gearing. He said they went from a roll. Maybe it was just an unlucky hole in it's power. Maybe done from another speed or from dead stop it'd have been different.

Maybe he dropped his diamond plated Rolex when you punched it and by the time he grabbed it and looked up you had already put a few cars on him.

From a dead stop one killed me bad. I caught up on the highway and we went from different speeds. On the highway it was a closer match. If I had 30 - 40 more hp I might have had an easy advantage.

The 55AMG's run 12.9-13.1s stock at 110mph on average. They are heavy but still a lot of power... I dont think a near stock FB can pull 2-3 cars on a car that goes 110mph... that would insinuate the FB is 113-114mph car.
