    a ticking usualy means you are not getting enough oil to the lifters.. But like Mr l said depends where it is comeing from ..high or low ..

    i'm a little older school, but it sounds like a lifter or a rocker loose to me, all the rockers are tight on the pass side.

    Motor high mileage???

    Maybe time for a nice LS6 ported pump.

    it is high sounds like right behind the right/pass side of the motor.

    presssure is up and down depends on the rpm but is reading from 22- 31 at 800- 1000 rpms, seems about right idel.

    yes but on work table same thing also car has 45 k, but he had cam and heads done by your favorite company(parts) i didn't see any receipe for a oil pump you think that maybe it? but that wouldn't make the ticking.

    If the lifters weren't pumping up properly because of low oil pressure, it could create a tick.

    It could be a stuck lifter as well. Hard to diagnose (sp?) without hearing it firsthand.

    just like a clock that gets faster as the throtle opens. does that make sense.?

    Might be a little more tight, but they should come right out.
    Make sure to oil them when they go back in.
    Stock rockers??
