I'd love to own a C6. Those cars are just pure sex on wheels.

You have a full bolt on cam'd LS1 and your wondering why you left a stock mach.. ...In stock form they run pretty similar.

No, I was wondering why he got took out so badly. I know they run hard. I had an 01 Cobra, and supposedly, stock for stock, the Mach1 is a hair faster than the 01. I figured I would have two or three car lengths, not more than a BUSLENGTH.
I think he might have let off when he saw it was useless to continue.

I have raced some "properly modded 03 Cobra's," and put the smack down on one, and was even with the other (and I ain't put the heads on yet). If you got a Mach1 that is properly modded in this area that wants a piece, then I will happily oblige. I would rather race you, but I ain't driving all the way to Pennsylvania.
Maybe you post on a Mustang website and can get some locals to run me. I will be more than happy to bust 'em for you. Hopefully, they will bring a video camera, and you can post the results on here, just so people don't think I am 'ing.

Damn, nice numbers. I only got a time on it twice in its current form, and out of the two I got a best of 8.36 @ 89 mph with a somewhat bad 60 ft of 2.15, on STREET tires. I got a set of heads about to get planted on there, so we will see what it will run then with a set of slicks. Mid-11's with just bolt-ons on a Mach1 sounds a little far fetched. Must have had 4.56's gears and a full suspension mods also?
By the way, it is a Z28, not an SS.Last edited by Roastem; 06-26-2006 at 04:37 AM.

Grey- 2003 Mach 1
Thanks.
Not too shabby...
My Mach has 4.30's (I do have a set of 4.56's in the garage waiting to go in though... ) & suspension mods, which are both bolt-ons.
Best two N/A slips to date:
Oops - my bad....

No 60 ft time on either of those timeslips?
That thing is flying. You tagged any 03 Cobra's with it yet?

Damn that car is quick with a great mph. Just shows what people can do with a car when they know what they are doing. I'm sure you just provided some education to many people. I also noticed the 60ft not there, but it had be good looking at the 1/8 mile time. Probably low 1.60s if I had to guess. With a poweradder, that car will fall into the 10s on accident.

A full bolt on/cammed LS1 would beat a stock mach one pretty bad. They have ran high 11's low 12's as to where a mach 1 stock generally runs low to mid 13's...so theres your bus lengths. They run close but LS1's are still considerbly quicker up top stock..Being a former Cobra owner im sure you know that the wrong driver can make a mustang look slow..There definately a drivers car.

I agree. A full bolt-on LS1 with 4.10's and STOCK 245/45/16 Goodyears is real mutha to keep from spinning too. I found that out the first time I raced the ole Z28, the FIRST night I owned it. Full power in first or second would just annihilate those stock tires on bad pavement.

I was kinda pissed that the 60ft clock was acting-up in that lane on & off all day - I use the 60' and 330' data to help me make suspension adjustments to lower my ET/raise mph.
Here are some other runs made two days prior:
60'.................1.517 (Best N/A 60' time so far this year I think)
330'...............4.745
1/8................7.422
1/8 mph........90.95
1000'.............9.745
1/4..............11.698
1/4 mph......115.35
60'.................1.530
330'...............4.733
1/8................7.402
1/8 mph........91.86
1000'.............9.706
1/4..............11.650
1/4 mph......115.12
60'.................1.525
330'...............4.740
1/8................7.414
1/8 mph........91.96
1000'.............9.711
1/4..............11.648
1/4 mph......116.47
(2) best slips from that day:
Thanks for the compliments guys.
I have beaten more than one modded '03/'04 Cobra (and many stock/near-stock ones), but there are plenty faster than mid-11's so I remember that whenever I race one.
I'm looking for upper 10's on a 100-shot in the near future...Last edited by Angus66; 06-27-2006 at 03:53 PM.
