Silver- 2000 corvette
Coolant crossover line removal help please .
Hi i recently purchased my c5 corvette and need someones help i am trying to remove the valley pan but the coolant crossover is in the way i tried taking it off but coolant keeps coming out is there a way for the coolant to stop coming out or ??

You need to drain off some of it. Otherwise it will drain off out of the cylinders till they become empty.
Which is less than draining the whole system.
A quick way to just drain out of the heads is to pull the engine temp sensor. It sits just beside Num 1 cyl.

There is a petcock on the bottom of the radiator - less of a mess.

my suggestion was only so he didn't drain the whole system.
