Weekend flew by. I made waffles Saturday morning here - just added a little vanilla to the mix this time.
Getting my first Prius ever through the garage this evening for a tire swap. Mounted two sets of snow tires over the weekend. New tire changing equipment is being put to good use so far.

Jeff just leave the Prius in the yard, it might wet itself looking at a Trans Am.
God I hate those cars. Had an absentminded driver in one in front of me today. Speed limit is 65mph and she decides to drive 50mph in the left lane.

Silver- 1999 Trans-Am, 2012 Sonic
Had to change my shut off for my main water line just inside the house. Had to make a tool to shut it off out by the street. Everything went well but one solder joint didn't take fully and had a seeping drop maybe one every 1/2 hr. Waited until today to repair and what a pain in the ass. After removing twice and cleaning, fluxing and resoldering it finally took. It was right at the valve and for some reason just wouldn't take on the back side of the joint. All is good now, finished cleaning garage that has been going on for weeks...lol.....tires mounted on new wheels for the T/A waxed and ready for install + walked 10,560 steps or 5.62 miles between work and home no wonder I'm ready for bed.

Morning.
Not a clue, Jim. They'll be getting good old shop air in the new tires.
I bought some shark bites for the bathroom remodel but did not use them. Kept them though in case an emergency water system repair is needed in the future.

It doesn't matter what you use... air or nitrogen. Nitrogen is preferred by many and has a few pros to it. It keeps pressure better, for longer, has less chance to leak from the bead, reduces moisture build up which, as mentioned does help sensors, keeps tires cooler. But all of these pros are very small as air itself is 78% nitrogen.

Tire change went off without a hitch. Tire caps were gray (2) and missing (2).

Can't recall ever seeing anything stating you have to put nitrogen in Primus tires

you don't have to.....it's all part of that shit when gas was $5 to try to save every penny. Our journey originally had nitrogen with the green caps......problem is I don't own a nitrogen tank but I have a pretty decent air compressor haha that shit has had air in it for a few years now. Sensors are fine.

Nitrogen in the tires comes from the Aviation Industry. They use filter (remove any moisture) nitrogen in the tires because the higher the altitude the more the air in the tire expands. With regular air in the tires 2 things can happen: any moisture will become a block of ice and if not filled to correct psi the tire can pop off the beads. So since landing is a must with all aircraft having a tire with a chunk of ice inside or bad bead is very bad when those tires hit the runway at 170-250 mph with a plane that weighs over a few 100 tons.

We used it in our race car tires when we raced oval track, it didn't expand or increased the pressures very much when they got hot. Keeped the handling a little more in check

As I said there are benefits but it isn't a requirement for any car really.
