*** WTF Kenya Season June Train ***
Yup Red Snapper is in season. Bigger they are the more like a bag of bricks they feel.
I had something that we faught for 10 mins. bent the rod almost in half. Cpt had to follw it in reverse to help with the drag. I told the deck hand if it pulls the rod out of my hand I ain't paying the $250 penalty. It changed direction twice then finally broke the damn line. Deck hands think it was a shark.http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/

It was definitely a shark...happens to us all of the time in the gulf. You catch a snapper, shark sees it in de-stress and swallows it...which means you then have a shark on the line lol we caught one last year that literally took HOURS to get to the boat. It was a hammer head to be exact.

12 yrs ago today my daughter was born. I was in a shit hole country called Iraq and happen to be in a few fire fights that day. Took 3 days for me to get notified and then 6 more months till I first held her. We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming. Already looks like I need to build up my arsenal.

Spent some time at the track today watching cars go fast. Went for subs and the store in downtown Beaver Springs now has yard sale items for sale. I poked around and found a circa 1914 Hafner cast iron clockwork train for $2.50, plus some mismatched sections of track. It has some broken and missing items, but the clockwork is just fine and it is cool as hell.

I hear ya Scott mine turned 13 Tuesday, I had a bad bike accident 7 days later and almost missed the chance of being with her and enjoying all the things we do together which is a lot. Had to take her to the emergency room last night at 11:30 because of stomach pain, she was in a lot of pain kind of thought it was gas but didn't want to chance it after a few hrs that's what the doc came up with. We really wanted to hit the Drags tonight but I didn't want to drag her around the track until she feels better. She wasn't very happy about it...

Work day went rather quickly. Kind of a dreary evening with on and off rain here, so sticking close to home for the most part. If I had any ambition, I would start on disassembly of the M151 A1 engine.
