I will occasionally get a slow page load and things seem to stall out. The jumping around is an annoyance -- I have done the same as you, 0rion, many times trying to click on something.

Same here. I'm running XP on an old computer so a slow page every now and then is expected. But the page shift is very annoying and I have clicked on the wrong thing several times because of it.

I'm on the west coast. Only about 4 hours away from you. I have a miserable time with the page shifts. I still think it's the ad bar on the side of the page

As a matter of fact, it's so slow today, that I'm actually watching each sponsor load one at a time, and then have to wait for the ad before everything is situated and I can even click on a thread.

I'm done for now. I'll check back later to see if it's any better.

Just made the sponsor bar load after the page loads. See if that helps.

for me it now doesn't load the page until the ad bar loads and then they both pop up at the same time. Let me click a few more forums and see if it's shifting still. I don't think it is....I think it's just making the page wait until the ad bar loads. Give me a few minutes and I'll try to record it on my phone and upload it to youtube.

it got worse when he switched the way that ad loads I think....I don't really think it's any slower really. It's just loading the page up with the ad. For me it always takes about that long for the ad bar to load. I liked it better when we had enough sponsors and didn't have to have all these BS ads everywhere.

I watched your video. Mine loads about 2X faster than yours, and my download/upload speeds are far worse. That is weird.

Heck, now you guys jinxed me. Took over 2 minutes to load the home page after I logged in. The ads on the side came in super slow.

I have 4GB of ram and I *think* a 1.6Ghz processor so it's not like I'm on some slow ass machine with a crappy connection.

whatever you don't last Ed it's better than when you had the ad trying to load first.....it's tolerable now. Still a little slow but I can deal with it. I haven't gotten any script errors using firefox and I believe I could get used to using this instead of IE.

she loves to read.....she walks around the house reading all the time. She'll just walk in a circle in the living room reading a book. They've both had a good semester at school. Zach has always done ok but usually has a subject or two he struggles in.....normally math and language. He put his nose to the grindstone the last 9 weeks and the report card he's bringing home this time puts him on the A/B honor roll. Chloe makes straight A's but she's still in 1st grade so she hasn't gotten to the tough stuff yet. Pretty proud of those 2 with how serious they take their school work. It'll probably change at some point but right now it's nice having them both wanting to do well in school. I told Zach they can expect some kind of reward and me and the wife would have to sit down and figure out what that would be. I asked him what he thought it should be and he said $5. I told him we could probably do a little better than that for honor roll.

Congrats to the kids on the grades! I wish Sammie would wake up and get with the program. She hasn't driven her car to school the entire marking period thanks to at least one class always carrying a "D".
