Ive cut apart bosch, fram, fram tg, delco, stp, k&n, motorcraft and mobile 1. The stp and delco are identicle. The frams are all the same inside...only difference is the number of pleats...thats it. Motorcraft for fords are excellent for the price. As far as best filter for the price from what ive seen internally...bosch. half the price of the same construction premium mobil 1, but half the cost.
Also been running valvoline synthetic maxlife on the camaro...zero regrets...great oil.1999 Z/28

Havent been on for a while and just wanted to make sure PP and Fram XG is still the best combo?

fram filtes are cheaply constructed. cheap and inexpensive. again...a good inexpensive filter for the construction is the bosch. and i've never been a fan of anything that wasn't valvoline, mobil 1, or castrol. but to each their own.

Just stick with the OEM AC Delcos.

I recently researched the shit out of this question. I ended up going with PP & a K&N filter. The K&N was free with the oil, so that made the choice easy.

If I recall, they are a Champion brand filter. I won't install them on our cars.

In summary - everyone prefers to use something different.

It's live and learn too. Back in my younger days, I slapped the mid-level Fram filters on everything we owned. Not any more.

Pewter- 2002 SS Camaro SLP #3694
I have been using K&N in all my vehicles for a few years now. Even the Harley I had. I use Mobil1 10w30 Full Syn with a quart of Syn Lucas oil treatment. I just bought a 2002 SS Camaro and picked up a oil change yesterday for it. Plan on doing that and replacing the plugs tomorrow.
