    Hi...I amneww to this site... am looking to do a LS conversion to a Porsche 951 ... just currious... how much in total did this cost in $'s and Time?

    PS: any hints how I can do this quickly and cost efficent?

    Hi Ron, total cost was around $8000 or so I believe. I didn't spare any money in upgrades and bolt ons though so you can do it much cheaper. Took approximately 2 years from start to finish. That was working on it with my dad when we had time. Didn't rush it by any means and just enjoyed it. Took me about 3 months just to decide on exhaust setup. Lol.

    Hey 951, I just spent the last 30 minutes catching up on this post. Very sweet car. I've been wanting to do this to a 944 for a *very* long time, since I did it to a 911 back in 2004 in fact, but you've helped answer a lot of questions for me about this specific conversion, and I'm getting ready to star my own. A bit late, but congratulations on your daughter.

    A few questions if you don't mind:
    1. Did you find the brakes on the 944 were still sufficient after the swap?
    2. Did your price for the swap include the price of the car? You don't have to get specific, but I am curious.
    3. If you got your suspension setup figured out, can you post an update, and what spring rates you went with?
    Any other growing pains you learned that you'd like to share?

    It may be too outdated; but, I'd love some insight ... How does one decide which kit supplier ? It seems that there are several makers [Renegade, TX, and ... ?] Not really clear on "Apples-to-Apples" comparison .... ANY help.

    I have an LS3 sitting in a crate. Next, to find the RIGHT 944, and then, picking ... "The Kit".

    I have worked with both
    The kids have been out long enough that they are well built
    Nothing is a perfect drop in for a Porsche though
    Always subtle differences

    Hey guys, been several years since I started this thread and it is now time to say goodbye to my sweet LS swap and start my next project. My 1967 C10.
