Its a transaxel with torque tube similar to the C-6 vetts only I believe the trans is still longitudinal insteasd of transvers ah la vett the turbo has a slightly shorter 5th gr than the na transaxel some have swapped to the long ( high numerical NA gear because it suites the termendous torque of the LS motor better and many of the NA owners want the shorter) higher numerical gearing because it helps the the smaller 2.5s pull a little better on the hyway in 5th.

[QUOTE=the951racer;2755772]More to come so y'all stick around
Not a problem! Right now I'm in car envy lust at the almost perfact pro-touring ride coming together right here.
Only 2 cars have inspired instant lust in me the 1st was a 91 SLP Firehawk on a quick run around Luguna Seca the 2nd was a modified 968 (I believe thats correct) sucessore to the 944 w/ a poked & stroked 3.0L i4 this one was making 363hp man it was a rocket we chased down a number of 911s and were really dogging an early 928 finally he cracked and went off and we sailed on bye no damage dust and grass for him and then the tables turned a 73 RSR had us in its sights!

Sorry for no updates lately guys! Been crazy busy with my family including my now 10 month old daughter! Anyway, thanks a lot for the posts....and you sir are correct....I did swap out the 5th gear to the NA 5th gear! These swaps are awesome from what I hear and my Dad and I have been having a blast with it. The car is slowly nearing completion and will be making a trip to Texas Performance Concepts soon for some finish work and tuning. (Hopefully in the next two months). The engine is almost complete. Smartfire 42# injectors arrived today along with my Super Damper. SLP double roller will be ordered tomorrow along with fuel rails and throttle body. If anybody has some suggestions for throttle body please let me know. I'm thinking a PP 78mm due to the LS6 intake. Crossmember spacers have been installed (prep for engine install). Degreeing of the cam is next. Any tips are def welcome. Ha. I will try to load up some pics later....this Tapatalk Update garbage is messing me up.

Me & a couple of others here are using Shaner S2 & S3 TB's Basically it's a stock tb that is ported & polished. Flows just as good as 80mm aftermarket TB's.
If interested pm me and I'll send you the link. I can post directly here because they are not a sponsor. For $150 I'm still happy with mine.

I've had my SPEC 3+ for 3.5 years now. No issues. Several here think the LS7 clutch is worthy. I dont have any personal experience with it, but it seems to be a good DD clutch for up to around 450hp/tq.
