in post 6 you can see the ground strap......the bolt to the bracket holds it in place..........so i did not eliminate it

I see the bottom part of the strap, but not where it was on the top. The antenna with the part number you used doesn't have provisions for the ground at the op.

i cant really remember........i wanna say around 100$

but the antenna repair kit was about 60$......so..........

I don't think my unit (same part number, I ordered it off of your info) had the upper bracket. Must have been a production change.

hey did the antena you bought from g.m plug into the stock plug from your fbody
i just pick one up on ebay because it has a black mast but the antena jack is male instead of female like the stock one having a hard time trying to get a connecter to go from female to female
