Suspension should be loaded for the install, most people put the tires on ramps or you could put the rear axle on jack stands.
Install shouldn't be that bad as long as you got the right tools haha
As a matter of fact ordered myself a set of umi 3 points a few hours ago

Just do one side at a time and you should be fine

I knocked together a set of wooden blocks to set the car on as I have a 2 post lift. Just be safe however you do it. Like Tater said, do one side at a time and you will be fine. It is a simple install -- my 2 point UMI bolt-ins took all of 20-30 minutes.

Do I just need the rear wheels loaded or the front and back?

The car has to be in the air with the weight on all four wheels. As posted, a set of ramps under the front tires and jackstands under the rear axle will accomplish this. The rear axle is a solid unit, so jackstands are the same as having the car on its rear wheels as far as the suspension is concerned.

Like Jeff mentioned our bolt in SFC's only take 20-30 minutes tops, either 2-point or 3-point. It will take you longer to jack your vehicle up and safely secure it then it will to install the SFC's. The bolt in styles require no drilling or cutting, they are direct bolt ins and include all hardware. I hope this helps!

correct I purchaces and installed the 3-point SFC and tunnel mount Torque arm at the same time, 3-point SFC were not bad, i'd say i spent 30-40 minutes on them. Rear end on jack stands front end on ramps.
Now getting the 3-point SFC and the tunnel mount torque arm with DSL all lined up and the bolts to go through it all and into the bolt holes while my POS exhaust was pressing on the DSL that was not fun...lol, but that was just my car being difficult.

Weld in are permanent and tend to be stronger in that you do not have to worry about a bolt backing out because it wasn't torque down properly.
Bolt in's gives the purchasier the option of doing it in his home garage and then weld on at a later time. There are some ppl that are willing to remove them and move to another car if they sell it.
For Hard Tops & T tops 3 points are > 2 points > nothing
for Verts - 2 points are the only option at this time. UMI is supposedly working on a 3 pt setup for verts
3 pt are great for autoX racing, drifting, as well as straight line racing & DD.
2 pt are good for straight line racing & DD.

It looks like I will go with the 2 points since I do a little drag racing but no road racing.

Not a clue - I would check with each manufacturer before committing to 3 points. I know that most of the tunnel mounts are exhaust specific, but there are no options for the 3 points that I am aware of.

my buddies 3 pts no issue. the drive shaft safety loop you'll have one. look at mwc for their safety loop. it tucks up in the tunnel and clears all exhaust.
