    IAT relocation

I wasn't sure what section to put this in but I did a search and couldn't find anything about this. I am going to get a SD and I was told that relocating the IAT to the front bumper was neccessary, is it really or would it being in the airbox be fine? If it is neccessary how do you relocate it and what do you need?

Doesnt make much sense to me you need to read the air temp as it goes into the engine not out in front of the radiator should be fine in the stock location but what do I know

    I agree.

You only want to move it if it's getting heat soaked.

right.....just leave it where it's at now. The LS2 cars have the IAT's built into the MAF sensor and you have to relocate those when going SD but on your car you're fine.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I thought it would be fine, it seemed a little weird to relocate it to the bumper. I just wanted to be sure though. Hopefully I'll be running a SD tune by next week then.
