    1999 trans am

    i was driving it home and the engine died its been sitting about 4 yrs in a garage i know its not the fuel pump any ideal what it could be ill post pics soon its still in show room condition

    If it has been sitting for that long, the fuel system is probably all gummed up. I would start with the basics and check the fuel pressure at the rail for starters. If that checks out, get a scanner on the OBD-II port and see if there are any codes set or pending. Let us know what you find.

    Under your dash, by your right knee, there is a connector that you can plug a scanner into. OBD stands for "On-Board Diagnostic" and it is the second version, hence the "II". There is a list of OBD-II codes stickied under the "General Help" section of our forum.

    the fuel line camd off the moduel in the tank its running now thanks alot fellas

    Good to hear. At the very least, you should replace the fuel filter and maybe run some Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner through it.
