Yeah I remember the Olds Toronado's with their V8's and front wheel drive. But that's going back a bit. I don't keep up on the new cars that much so you'll have to forgive me. A V8 in a monte SS makes sense to me as thats been done since 1970, but I was unaware of a front drive version, nor am I not sure why GM would do that and put a performance oriented nameplate on it.

The new Taurus SHO has a V6 turbo, the early 90s were V6s and the later ones around 1999 came with V8s and V6s. Oldsmobile used a V8 with a transverse axle in their Arurora, similar platform to the caddy seville.

Yup, a FWD v8 was offered in the Olds Aurora had a variation of the northstar v8 in a transverse setup, and a v8 powered version Grand Prix GXP also an FWD.

Hello i'm interested on how the level 2 transmission from Performabuilt holding up.
I'm researching to get 4l65e rebuilt on a stock 2006 GTO I'm also considering Coan Racing.
Appreciate additional input Performabuilt is local I'm in Macungie

The trans came with a 2 year warranty when you also purchase their torque converter. I run ours at the track on sticky tires and have had zero issues. Very happy I went with Performabuilt.
