removing that bracket was another PITA.....7mm...... way down behind the dash

hooked up.....red LED glowing...its show time......steering wheel controls worked perfect.......simple plug and play

you can change the illumination colors......i picked red to match the car

I sure do like the way the red matches up the rest of the car. I also like how it sits flush and kinda tucked in as opposed to others that stick out. I think its about time that I upgrade my HU....

another install kits may take into account for that bracket in the back of the stereo well.......if you cut it like i did .......you have all kinds of room

Rough estimate $$ for the whole install? Mine is starting to skip, the LCD is starting to distort.. and all my speakers are shot.. so need to start thinking about this. Good write up though!

i got my HU for 330$ ......the metra stuff was about 45$.....the axxess unit was 45$.....took me about a week to install.....but i am a turtle

.....my speakers are shot too....but that will have to wait $$$$$$

nice thread, nice stereo as well....it looks at home in there......now, go buy a double din, and do a write up on that, and then send me the double din via fed ex along with new steering wheel controls...
