I had severe warpage issues on my 4th gens with blanks. Replaced under warranty at GM twice, then went with quality Bendix blanks from the parts store and they were also replaced under warranty twice within 50 miles.

Switched to drilled/slotted and haven't had an issue since.

From my understanding it helps disapate heat to keep them from warping. And looks cool

Nope, it was a common issue when these cars were new. Warrantied 4 times with OEM and Bendix parts.

I am extremely easy on brakes, generally get 70K out of a set of front pads. I couldn't even get 20 miles from my house with gentle 30 mph stops bedding in the pads before they warped. They just don't dissipate the heat.

Put drilled/slotted on there and now I'm a believer in their functionality. Obviously they do as advertised, because I went through the same procedures and my wifes car now has 10,000 miles on them, not so much as a shudder. I'll never go back to blanks on a 4th gen again.

That is correct, and I was always skeptical of that. But I am a believer in their function now.

R1 concept is a company. I had mine drilled slotted for about 8 months now. The car is DD and no vibrations at all. I will buy rotors from them from now on. They are alittle noisy when you brake but nothing major. i heard their blanks are good also.

I'm running a set of drilled and slotted eBay rotors on the goat and with fresh pads they work amazing. No fade above 100mph and from 60, will stop fast enough to make you dizzy lol

I did that as well. Of course they always get banged up by the tire shop when the replace my tires. good tihng I don't go there often. I have to touch them up with a Qtip to cover the chips.
