Thread: LS7 Clutch Junk or Good????

You must be really slippin it then. Mine has only smelled when I slipped it really harshly. Other than that I never have any smells.
But yes, for the cost of a LS7 kit ready to install VS the cost of a Diamond kit which is the next in line price wise IMO anyway, I'd spend the few extra bucks to stay away from the adjustable plate.

My LS7 takes a licking and keeps on ticking with no issues. Just saying it how it is in my world.
Good luck to all and to all a good night┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

thats what i just bought..........just as people said on here might as well get a better clutch since its going to be dropped. its a few hundred more but comes with a slave so its not too bad. I just figured spend more now than just replace the clutch again in a year when i add more and more power

I am not posting in this thread anymore.
OP - Start a new thread with a clutch install write-up with pics if you are doing it yourself. Good luck with whatever decision you make. Hopefully I won't be saying "I told you so" in about a year

I've heard some other similar complaints about the LS7 pressure plates. I don't really care for the adjustable pressure plates myself, and would rather have the adjustments in the linkage or hydraulic systems set to my preferred freeplay.
I'd rather spend more money and have something I'd be happier with. Besides,,, I don't go to the track to just pussyfoot around.

They have a self adjusting ring around the fingers. After you use it for a while you should have noticed a change in pedal adjustment.
