2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
Lets see what I accomplished on my week off:
- Fuel lines are done...10AN feed -> 8AN split to both rails -> 8AN to fuel pressure regulator -> 8AN return. Still need to wire up pump and level sensor.
- Battery Relocation is done...2 gauge wiring to starter, alternator, and fuse box...battery box in hatch. I just need to install the cutoff switch.
- Brakes are done...new lines bent and installed...Line Lock reintalled...ABS deleted...C5 brakes removed...stock size reinstalled with new pads and rotors.
- Engine wiring clean-up and tuck is done.
- Removed my stock crank pulley and installed an ATI Super Damper Underdrive Pulley
- 3" thick radiator and fans are back in.
- Valve Covers are being powdercoated.
- Rear fenders are rolled to accommodate the new 345/40/17 tires.
- Rear suspension is mostly set...I'll still need an alignment to get everything perfect.
- Installed the new outer tie rods since both got bent in the accident.
- Worked on cutting up the interior pieces to fit around the minitubs.
- Started redoing all of my interior wiring for gauge and switches.
I'll post up some pictures later this week.

Header install wasn't all that bad really. Just time consuming and required patience working in tight quarters.

I doubt it popped the gasket, I think my headers are just warped so I got some thick gaskets coming in an effort to not have to remove the whole header and have it machined. All my exhaust is welded so I would have to get a saw to free up the header from the y-pipe... Its also the second time I do it so it shouldn't be too bad but you never know... last time I had the last bolt break, the head tore of it so that was fun <- total sarcasm
Yup, I did the header install on my 98 with some help from my pops on our driveway. Took me about 8-9 hours but the drive with open headers was worth it

The stock GM header gaskets are the way to go. I took one look at what came with my Kooks LT's and tossed them aside in favor of some new ones from the local GM dealership.

Thats what I have in there now, the driver side is good but the passenger side is BAD. I'm going to be so pissed if all I have to do is tighten it up because after some reading, I never actually tightened them up again after some heat cycles

Yeah i think thats what he used the first time then after it popped he used an MLS gasket either mr.gasket or Fel-pro i cant remember which but its worked fine ever since.
Yup! mine was the pass.side too and yeah i read about that too and after i few miles i re-tightened them and have had no problems since!
Yeah jeff thats what i hear anyway i dont have too much patience and its a real tight fit! for me with the emissions problems i run into after install of my LT`s-i wish it was somehow easier! i would love to be able to r/r them before emissions tests but as of now it would be ALOT to do every other year-One guy told me he put studs in instead of bolting them on whats your take on that?Last edited by SuperSSguy; 03-24-2013 at 05:19 PM.

I think bolts are fine -- went with the stainless Stage 8 locking bolts on ours and haven't had a problem.

Got out the 6" dual action and took all the scratches and swirls out of the paint over the whole car!!! 3 rounds...on to polish, and then 2 rounds of wax. Man it shines now!
