What did you do with your Trans Am today?

Bought sparkplugs, oil, oil filter, and fuel filter for my baby today... Should get them done sometime this week after I buy a battery for her too :crossfingers: kinda excited about getting work done on her!

Technically yesterday, but I built this thing (I'm gonna shave the button down more to make it more flush with the top of the knob):

Attached to a WS6 6.5" stick and in 2nd gear. Looks high because it essentially rides on top of the threads (which end just under the black ring at the bottom). Another cool thing that came out of the project is the shifter being 15mm and at 16mm I got a little interference fit to keep it in place without having to really reef on anything and damage the stick.

I struggled choosing between the single and dual tips. Single tips are all business and look mean... the dual tips fit the bumper cutouts perfectly. I finally let my wife choose.

If I get heads, they will wait till I can do springs, lifters, cam, oil pump timing chain.

If I get the hood, will have to wait for paint.

I drove the WS6 and my wife to this cheesy supermarket in the worst area in town.
Truck was down with a battery change I did in the morning.
She asked me to go in with her and I said "no way, this car will be keyed a 100 times before we come out."
Guess what, this woman parks one isle over and starts to walk towards my car with her key in her hand sideways.
At the last minute she see me sitting in the car staring at her and she pulls her key in and keep walking.
I yelled out, "keep walking sister".
She turns and looks at me with a red embarrassed face.

It doesn't hit the low end of the economic bracket either.. got keyed yesterday by whom I'm guessing was a member of the country club I work at. I park away from the sap trees which means right in the middle of the tennis court line of spots. I'm allowed to park in any lot close by where I work (while keeping courtesy in mind for said members) so they have no grounds to complain. In fact I've been mistaken for a member when out of uniform at times, and had compliments on it too. Same place where people park their Lambos, Ferraris, Maseratis too (had a random Gallardo appear in the wild parked next to my car of all things).

Guess someone didn't want my car mixed in with theirs..?
