Isn't there a way to find out specifically which one is leaking without replacing all of them? $432 is pretty costly.

checking the plugs. and using a camera to see the piston will give you and indication.

You can also pull the rail with injectors still attached. Turn the engine to on to cycle the pump. The bad injector will spit fuel while the others keep their mouths shut. I had one major leak, but all of them were corroded pretty bad. Previous owners obviously gave two shits about gas quality and changing fuel filters. As I said before, I pulled the ORIGINAL fuel filter off at 17 years/92k miles...

Wow, why didn't I think of that Terry? You da man! My tuner said that I was losing fuel pressure. I pulled the fuel pump expecting to see a non submersible fuel line but it was nothing but accordion flex lines and no cuts or slits that I could see. The fuel filter was super clean like brand new clean, still green, instead of brown like most fuel tank fuel filters you see. This may be my problem as well...leaky fuel injector. At least now I won't have to spend $432 if that is the problem. Thanks again Terry!!

I probably should pull the rails at some point to check for the leak. As stated above, our cars are no longer "young" and parts do wear out and go bad with time.

Yep, I have a laundry list of fixing to do on her T/A. As I get things done, I'm sure the list will stay the same length, just with new things to do.

Took my wife's silver 2000 WS6 MM6 back to the tuner after replacing the bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor, specifically ACDelco, new ACDelco fuel filter, and checking to make sure the fuel pump did not have any non submersible fuel lines in it. He came back from the street tune session and said I was still having an issue with the driver side O2 sensor. He said if I wanted to pursue it, that I could bring it back, but that I was losing fuel pressure after 6,000 rpm.....AFTER? I NEVER take it that high. At any rate, he said I could just leave it the way it was, because it was "running really good just the way it is", so, now the Service Engine Soon light comes back on with P0704 AGAIN. I just replaced the Clutch Input Switch two days ago on Wed, May 15th. It doesn't have cruise control, so it doesn't even have the white adjustable clutch switch, only the black funny shaped one that allows ignition only if the clutch is depressed. Now you can't start it unless the clutch is depressed, whereas before you could start it by sticking your hand in the driver side window and just turning the key...provided it was in neutral with the parking brake on!! I'm at a loss. but that is for another thread.

I'm 99% done with the top on the Vert. I gotta make a small adjustment on one spot to tighten it up but that's gotta wait till I get this cast off.

One major item checked off, now for the carpet and seats.

No bone break. Either it's a pinched nerve, tore tendon/ligament. Been having this issue since last November. I was coming home from hunting in TX, stopped in West Monroe for gas, they had straight line winds gusting to 50+ at the time. I forgotten I left my keys in the ignition, so as I reached back to get them the door slammed hard on my wrist against the b pillar. Thought I did broke it. Once I got home I saw an urgent clinic for an x ray and they didn't see any at the time. 2 days later I go see an ortho dr. He puts me in a brace for 8 weeks, gives a cortisone shot and does MRI, showed a possible tear. Swelling goes down but still have pain when I push or grasp things as well as have an isolated burning sensation. After the 8 weeks I was out for a few weeks but still no change. Then I see a Hand specialist, he gives me a 2nd cortisone shot and a brace, again for another 4 weeks as well as a CT Scan and other x rays, more detail positions. Finds evidence that I had a crack recently but no complete break. Ct scan shows that a couple of bones are slightly too close but he says are within acceptable spacing. So he wants total immobilization for 4 weeks to see if that will give the hand time to heal where as the braces gave to much movement.

The hand Dr is trying everything to not do surgery because it has no precise this is what's wrong on MRI/CT Scan/X ray.

The burning sensation has decreased a lot but I don't know if it's from no movement or not. It will flair up once in a while though.

The Vert is a 2000 Firebird I picked up from a buddy. She pestered him for 9 months telling him she's going to buy it off of him. He was saving it for his daughter but she didn't want to put in the money or work to fix it up. So he gave me 1st dibs. $450 later it's mine. The top was a must. it was torn and leaked. The carpet has been cut out because it was bad from the leaks. I had to fix other items like the coolant issue. The previous owner (not my friend) mixed green and orange coolant. Took over 20 flushes to clear the system. PITA. It's why he got it so cheap, a shop told the lady she had a blown head gasket. It was leaking at the bypass tubes. $13 part and 30 mins to swap. Oil is clean.

Body wise it's in really good shape. Amazingly no rust on the floor pans from the leaky top. However the paint was done by idiots, I think they used a roller on some spots.

    Praying for your hand bro.

Cool, being at the right place at the right time with the Vert and being able to have the knowledge on how to fix it. Hahaha roller paint. Mine looks the same way. Get this, my right side exhaust pipe hangar broke and took it to a muffler shop to get it rewelded back up. While it was up in the air, I noticed the previous brain dead owner welded a bracket from the exhaust pipe to the bolt that holds down the right rear seat belt, the one that comes out the bottom of the car with the oblong oversized washer. I could not believe what I saw. I thought I had seen everything, but that took the cake. Some people must take their brains out and play catch with them. Unreal.

Finally got the UMI 2-point, weld-on SFCs (that I bought at the 2017 GM Nationals at Carlisle) installed on Gracie, dropped it off the night before my throat surgery.

Once I can go for three or so hours without hard-core pain meds, were going to pick her up.

I am hoping that I can feel a noticeable rigidity increase on Gracie after this.

What did you do with your Trans Am today?

I'm really getting into the vert life. Brought it back home. Been driving it around for the weekend. Even went to the beach last night.

It's kinda eerie on how quiet it is compared to the Trans Am.

    Wife even enjoys it.

Terry, I can relate. When I first got my white '98 T/A WS6 MM6, I must have gotten stopped 5 times, 3 by State Troopers, and none of them gave me tickets...none. One female trooper asked it she could look under the hood!! Have a nice day, and be safe. Words I heard so many times from law enforcement officers. Thankful they just gave me a warning!! Our cars need to be "aired out" often...uhh to keep the carbon deposits cleaned out...yeah, that's it....!!!

Just ordered new rear bearings and seals, along with Amsoil 75w-90 and Delco additive. Figured if one seal was bad I might as well replace both. My dad and his lift will be helping with this one over the weekend. I may also convince him to help with the steering rack if all goes well and quick.

I also fixed the drivers side mirror. The piece that the housing mounts to, that then connects to the door had broken. I checked in 4 salvage yards and either they where broken or mirror was taken. I even looked at the camaro and they are different. Which sucks.

So if this giant glob of jbweld doesn't hold it in place Not sure what I'll do. So far it's holding. Bad thing the metal is either alumium or cast metal that isn't magnetic and is thin enough that I don't think it could be welded.
