As far as pistons go, boost gap and diamond forged -26cc pistons at 4.030". The low mount setup is cool. I did the high mount and ended up getting a new VFN hood with a 4" cowl that I still had to trim to fit the damn thing!
Which VFN hood? I have the WSQ hood (LOVE IT!!!!)

My pistons are currently are DSS Forged 4.005" -3cc flat tops, with the 243 heads my CR is 11.4.1 So yeah I know I would either need to change the heads and pistons to get the CR down or convert over to E85 which is not an option here cause there may be only 1 station within 70 miles that might have E85.

I did my 403ci NA build on a budget to get it up and running. No regrets so far, just have gotten used to the power it puts down and getting a little bored. Last Oct at Gulfport 1/4mile I ran a 11.4 on street tires so it's not too slow. I gotta get some slicks to see how she'll really run though.

Currently we're putting together an F1C setup on a 403. CR is a little high at 9:1. The Hood I'm running is the Beast VFN hood. Took a little bit getting used to with the cowl being so tall but I like it. I love the WSQ hood but won't be able to fit my blower in there with the high mount. If I got the low mount I would have done the WSQ hood.

This one is interesting. It's going into a Lexus IS300. LS is already in. Blower we have in hand. The problem now is how the hell are we going to fit all this stuff in there!

Got my car back from the shop today. Was there a couple days having the power steering leak addressed. All buttoned up, now, clean alternator and no more leak. Looking forward to several thousand trouble free miles.

Made a repair that benefited me in the long run. Changed out a wheel bearing but ended up replacing both in ordered to install my longer ARP wheel studs for the rear.

Don't think I'll have issues passing tech inspection now. I had to cut the caps off the lugs but worth it.

Got the cutout motor replaced and working again, it got taken out by what I think was an animal in Dec. Found fur on the bolts so same assumption. Learned that sometimes being too organized can bite you in the ass. When I did my carpet last year I tried to lay out the cable for the cutout along other wires in the car and zip tied it to them. Well when that cable needs replaced it's a bitch to use it to pull thru the new cable. Lucky I didn't use more then 2 zip ties and more importantly was able to reach under the carpet and break them. Also added a strap to help keep the cutout from rotating down.

The angle of the photo makes it look lower than it really is.

Nice dump! I wish I could fit a turn down on my cutout but it's really tight with a 4" cutout.

Install it parallel to the ground with just a slight downward twist. If you have to, flatten the bottom just a touch for clearance as that will not make a lick of difference in performance.

My cutout is angled slightly down off the flange. Had it welded off the 4" y merge that way so the exhaust doesn't hit the chassis.
