And it works 10,000x better in general than the LS1 app. You can merge all your car forums into Tapatalk and have access to them all.

Pulled the Trans Am out of the building last night and gave it her first bath of 2017. Taking her to work today and will put on some miles as I have two separate appearances to make. Tonight is the cruise in, so a quick wipe down when I roll home and then right back out the door, probably with the tops out.

Went auto-X'ing again on Sunday -- this time I hooked up with the SCCA of DC guys. Much bigger venue ( 200+ cars ) and all kinds of cars - not just a bunch of Porches!! Our cars do real well when hooked up right
Yesterday, I washed, clay bared and waxed it all up - smooth as a baby's behind ! All ready for the All Pontiac show this Sat. in Landisville Pa. It's put on by the SVGTO club. There's usually one hell of a Firebird / T/A showing !!

The stepper motor I was referring to is what we, on this side of the pond, call an Idle Air Control Valve.

Well, replaced the headlight motor but decided why stop there and did the projector conversion as well. With a 4" VFN hood I'm still limited on visibility but it's a lot better than the sealed beam setup!

I have 6k in mine and love 'em. I don't recommend going the higher. You start getting into the blue color range around 8k. With the 5k range it's more of a yellow.

The setup I have are 6k's currently but they're projecting Blue like 8k's. I'm trying to go for a white. When I swap the bulbs out thursday I'll decide which ones I want to stick with. In the meanwhile I love them. The only complaint is the peak on the Hella projectors but because of the 4" cowl I managed to aim the peak just above the cowl so I can now see in front of it.

Whamhammer and I had a good time at the All Pontiac Show on Sat. 175 Pontiacs in total, probably 40 to 50 of them were Firebirds and T/A's. We had 6 in the '82 to '02 modified class and managed to take best in class. I was very surprised !!. We thought Scott might take Ladies Choice award because of the kids seat in the back seat but no go :-(. Now to put the Auto-X tires back on for next weekend. --- having all kinds of fun with it this year !!

Transmission status report...It's going to hurt much more....

    The major issues:
This time the 3rd gear locker ring broke in 3 places.
All syncros are trashed and need replaced, 1-4 syncro teeth are rounded off in spots (this is why I had hard time shifting)
    5-6 gear ring is wraped.
Main Output shaft is seriously FUBAR in 3 spots.

    Minor Issues:
Counter Shaft, 5 & 6 gears have a minor chipped tooth that looks like it may have been from a key when it broke apart. Minor in that there are no cracks in the gears, just the very tip of the gear tooth is missing but all are still usable.

    So my options are:

    1) fix all of the major issues with a stock output shaft for $1060
    2) Fix all of the major issues but upgrade to Viper shaft (which comes with new 1350 Yoke and some more stuff) for $1340
    3) or wait till Hell freezes over to save up enough for a TR6060 conversion for $5000.

Those prices are on top of the stg 2 build already paid.

    Going with Viper option.

What did you do with your Trans Am today?

I did the Autotrix fix in 09 and still on the same motors.
