There was a time I spanked what was supposedly an LS3 swapped camaro but from a roll. Coming off the line I tend to spin and slide sideways

Pulled my transmission. Had to surgically remove the yoke in pieces. Pulled the tail cone and found

    Carnage everywhere....

    Little excerpt from the site:

Custom transmission conversions. For those doing an LSX swap project, we offer conversion services. This means that we can take virtually ANY T56 or TR6060 and convert it to any other style that meets your needs. This allows the transmission to precisely fit your application with the correct shifter location, regardless which application the transmission originally was intended for. For example, we can take a transmission from a 2014 Camaro and retro fit it into a 2000 Camaro casing, to make it a direct bolt-in for you fourth gen f-body. Or, we can take a 2000 Dodge Viper T56 and retro-fit it to fit a 1969 Camaro with the Viper shifter location.

He is who I am going to get to build my T56 if I ever get to that stage. Funds for play time been kinda low lately and still need an S60.

I just finished building Will's 8.8. Got it all crate up ready to ship.

I have 335/30/18 on my Vette and it's always been plenty of sidewall but then again I road race it and not drag for the most part.

You need an aggressive tire to get traction. Unfortunately, you aren't going to get that from a street tire regardless of what you have done. I have a lot into my car from the ground up and would still spin with drag radials.

Ditto. Street tires just go up in smoke on our car. Which is massively fun and greatly entertaining, but does nothing for making it go fast on launch.

That is why I was thinking of going down to a 15" wheel with street slicks. More sidewall for the break and twist.

With 4.10 gears on the 8.8 on street tires I have to launch around 1800-2100 rpm if I want traction out of the gate. Otherwise I do one hell of a burn out the 1st 100ft in 1st thru 3rd.

I was saving up for a dedicated set of wheels for the track and some Mickey Thompson's slicks but that's now going to the tranny. I still don't know the full potential of my car. My best time on the Nitto 555's was 7.2 in the 1/8 mile which converts to low 11's in the 1/4.

Just noticed as spot on the bottommost part of the rear wheelhouse has some rust.... NOT HAPPY!

I thought we got past that with Fourth Gens! I am hoping it's gone as far as I peeled it, would be an easy patch, and no structural concerns. Sprayed converter on it until the weekend, when I can possibly get away with just por-15'ing it.

Yup. Stg 2. They are going to look over the output shaft and let me know. If it's fubar then I'll look at getting the viper output shaft. It's only $699 more....

Probably from my time when I was a Toyota parts guy (most of the 20 years for that career). I can't wait until my Jag' terminology breaks out, you'll really be confused.

When was the last time you checked to make sure you throttle potentiometer, and stepper motor were properly calibrated?

True, by this time, on my '89 TA, I would had both rusted completely out, and creeping up on the quarter panel.
