I had to move my TA this sunday so I could get to my toolbox. My mom's starter went up on her car, so I got to enjoy the great outdoors here in Maryland (10'f, not including wind chill) and lay in the snow to change it out. COME ON SPRING!!!!

Red- 2002 Trans Am WS6 (M6)
I drove mine to work since the roads are clear and it was above freezing. All the parts finally arrived for my LS6 valley cover install and I'll be putting in new fuel rails and injectors at the same time. I need warmer weather to start working on it since my garage heater isn't great.

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
Washed it today after having to drive it home in snow on Tuesday. We were just supposed to get a dusting not even enough for them to salt the roads. The dusting quickly turned into a couple inches tuesday while I was at work. By time I got home the car was brown and white with a little pewter on top. Not to mention the fun the half hour drive home was.

Welp, I figured out why you guys were having trouble seeing the page. The irritatingly lame registrar I used for that domain never notified me when it was up for renewal and it lapsed and they I couldn't get their website to take a payment in order to get it back online. So I just registered a new domain just for the car and moved the blog over to there. 2000 Trans Am Blog
On another note, I managed to skip out of work a little early yesterday and thought I might be able to make some progress on the swap. As usual I was wrong. Spent several hours in the garage and only accomplished getting the A4 shifter assembly removed, the assembly pedestal cut off and the T56 bellhousing bolted up. When trying to drill out the welds for the assembly mount I ended up dulling one and breaking another black oxide drill bit. They were from HFT so I wasn't overly worried about them. Broke out the Kobalt titanium bits and went to town but those only went up to 1/4". So I ran down to a Home Depot and picked up a set of cobalt bits that went to 1/2", came home and finished the job.
What wasted the most time though was messing with the tranny itself. Whoever put the last clutch into the car it was removed from neglected to put the plastic quick disconnect sleeve on the hydraulic hose to the MC so there was nothing to push the little fingers in and release the fitting. None of the A/C & fuel quick disconnects I had would fit so I had to get creative. So I chained it to the trans jack, pumped it up a little and tilted it back so I could get a better look at the slave and quick disconnect fitting without laying on the ground. And as soon as I cranked the jack so the tailshaft was at a down angle, out comes a few quarts of trans fluid all over my garage floor. That was nice and time consuming to get cleaned. As for the slave fitting, I tried to put some stiff cardboard in there in hopes I could use a small screwdriver to push the fingers in but no luck. So on the way home today I just picked up an autozone slave just so I could get this project finished and I will deal with detaching the quick disconnect later and keep the GM slave as a spare. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

Worked on the driveline swap some more today. Cut the hole for the shifter in the trans tunnel, removed the CAGS solenoid and plugged the hole, put in a new slave cylinder and tick speed bleeder, installed the M6 pedals and bolted up the T56.

Not something i actually did with the car but...
....... I opened up and had a bit of a drool over my new Magnaflow Catback set up which arrived yesterday!
Although purchased from Summit it came over via Dave, on here, "Nutball" and funny thing... it was no longer
"new" when it was assessed at customs at this end. You get the idea i am sure.......

With all the rain and thunderstorms making it such a dreary day I didn't feel like crawling around on a cold garage floor today. Instead I stayed inside and did some work on the gauge pod wiring. Also thinking about getting a vacuum gauge to fill the empty spot where the trans temp used to be.
