04 Cobra 'vert - M6 mysti- 02 WS6 coupe - A4 red
They tend to run very similarly to LS1 f-bodies in terms of track speeds. If they're slow, then so's your WS6...

04 Cobra 'vert - M6 mysti- 02 WS6 coupe - A4 red
It's a simple, truthful comment. I've owned 4 Mustangs in my life, along with my 2 Trans Ams. So believe it or not, I do know some things about how they compare. So that's neither freaking out, or being an 'internet hero'. Thanks so much for the insult though.

Some Mach 1s have been known to drop to the low 13s with a tune and decent tires and a few in the high 12s. Traction!
106 trap speed at 13.6 is pretty decent. Dont miss a shift. I like them better than the crappy GT, Bullet versions, and the earlier NA Cobras. Seems like they turn better times than the earlier Cobras as well. I just cant get over the interior and how girly it is. That and the fact that my knees hit about everything in there and I am only 6'1"! lol

He was a driver extraordinare, never missed shifts. He always came out of the hole pretty good, but he would power shift that thing down track, and it always resulted in second gear fish tailing a good 20 feet. It was a bone stocker with maybe 500 miles on it. Great running car.
I also ran on stock rubber just as he did, and I was going 13.40's at the time at about 104-105 mph. After about the 300 foot mark, he would start reeling me in slowly all the way down track. At the finish line it was always close.
Both of our trap speeds were enough to support a 12 second run. His even more so.

I am betting your 60 foot mark was better than his? I mean he is just a hair behind what most tests confirm (but tests are tests) and your car is right there too.
They are quick little cars. I bet you guys had some fun finishing about a car or so apart at most. lol

There is a decent article testing the LS1 M6 GTO vs the 5-speed Mach 1.
