ok it finally warmed up here so i jump started the old ss and took her out for a spin today. met up with a 2010 v6 camaro and almost got smoked by it. he was rite near my back end. i finally starting pulling away little by little. Dam v6 camaros are quick I can only imagine how bad the new ss will beat me.

The 3.6l DOHC DI 660 makes LS1 numbers N/A on tubular logs and one pipe..

Rumor has it @ an under rated 305hp crank..

It's also a higher reving engine than the LS1..

You'd be looking for a set of push rods before a dohc 660 would be looking for another gear..

I like LS1 Cars too though..

LTs, catted Y, Borla muffler, smooth bellows, K&N intake thingy, ram-air, stock 2.73 rear, I pulled a new 2SS on the highway to 115. He jumped me at 70, stopped his pull going into 3rd, and was slowly creeping by him at 115, when he let off....

No idea if it was an auto or stick, but that's what happened

I ran one hard a few times from 60ish to 120ish on the 8 in San Diego last spring, and it was the 6 speed. We were dead nuts even each and every time. It was kinda freaky, as it was a silver one, and here I am in the pewter WS6. That's stock headers. I could see the V6 keeping up with you a little, but you'll keep up with the v8.

Yeah, I was pretty stunned myself. Had my GF in the car with my when I saw the SS badges on the back right of the car, I figured here's my chance! Not gunna be good, but atleast it's a respectful death

To my amazement, after his quick jump out, it wasn't THAT long until I was able to reel him back in. Seemed like it took forever, but I was pretty amazed nonetheless....

Today I drove my pewter one after it's had a week long rest. Checked the air in all the tires, put the fronts at 34.5 and the DRs at 22. Made a HECKUVA difference in feel and ride quality! White one has been parked for around a month almost now. Gunna take the DRs off the pewter Z tomorrow (and put the stock ones back on), so I can take off two of the TT2 wheels and clean them up. I'll be sure to post some before and after pictures as well

I should just have to roll the fender lip to get them to fit. Hopefully its not too big of an issue.
