flycut pistons with afr /heads ?

Hey guys I had someone tell me recently tbhat when I put my heads on I was susposed to flycut the pistons. I have AFR 205 heads and am running Comp Cams 588/581 camshaft. I have had it together for 3 years now with no problems. I recently found out I have a head gasket leaking into a cyl not mixing with oil. The engine did run up to red mark for tem/p once and I have been noticing some lifter noise lately. I am planning to pull it back daown and replace the head gaskets. I will check piston clearance again to make sure. Was just wwondering if anyone had run into this issue?

what are the specs on the cam, and what cc are the heads? you will want to check the clearence, but if you don't have to flycut the pistons, don't do it because all you will be doing is dropping your compession ratio

Can specs. 581 intake and .592 ex. Duration Is 224 /230 @112 intake center line lobe separation 114.0 part# on the heads is 1510. 205 mongoose heads. I just read my installation instructions again and it said
Part#'s 1610 thru 1680 require relief. So I am good on that. I remember checking it and everything cleared
