Ive seen a polished one in person before. A guy got one for his turbo kit he got off ebay. They arnt that big. Im not sure where yet though. Gotta get it here and mock it up and see where it will look good and mount correctly while doing its intended job. But im sure i can find a good place. I still have an EGR/AIR setup on my car so setting it up off the passenger side head is probably out.

The term "blow by" is originally referring to a case of worn rings that allow cylinder pressure past the rings and into the crank case, and the excessive pressure pushes oil up through your pcv breather system. This is not what a catch can is designed to cure. The motor is in need of a rebuild.
In the case of the LS1's, it's a simple matter of a poorly designed pcv system that actually sucks the oil into the intake track. Has nothing to do with worn rings. In which case a catch can is a worthy addition.

Yep, it helps to keep oil out of the intake track which ultimately means, out of the combustion chambers.
Oil in the combustion chambers delutes the fuel charge, causes detonation, coates the intake valves as well as the intake runners and the inside of the intake itself. It kills HP in extreme instances.
There,,,,have I scared you into buying one yet??
