vette vs 5.0
not a kill for me but went from a dig with the vette auto against a new 5.0 manual both stock. i spun off the line which never happens so he got a few car lengths ahead of me and he wasn't leaving me went to 100 guy was a nice guy asked about the car said he got it in june. would like to try again and hopefully not spin would have been closer

Those new 5.0's are supposed to make some good power. I havent had the chance to line up with one yet but it seems like it always ends up a drivers race.

It actually does, those cars running deep 11s with bolts on only for power mods had weight reduction, gearing and a modded setup suspension. If it werent a shop building that car it would have cost 2k in bolt ons and probably 6k in suspesnion and drivertrain parts. not to mention you have to be ok raping you drivetrain with very high rpm launches and sticky tires with no warrenty since you have done so much modding.

they're running 11's with bolt ons due to the fact that they're pulling 1.4 60's and it's a performance shop doing it--- and not a difficult feat since it's really just an old car with a new engine. there is tried and true methods and parts for making this chassis launch.
if i perfrormance shop came out and said "hey look we got an ls1 f-body to run 11's with just bolt ons!"---- people would be like yeah, that's been done alot already.
