2007 m3?
As some of you guys may remember, i posted up a while back about a neighbor who's son in law had an 01 porsche 911 carerra, non turbo. He never raced me. A few weeks back we were at the local bar, and he told me he was buying a 2007 ish bmw m3. So i told him we had to race before he traded it in, things went on and he said that he'd probably beat me anyway, that my car wasnt built for it. I said what? race in a straight line? are you out of your mind??
annyway, he's got an 07 m3...how would I fare against it? he's all stock, ive got pnp tb, lt's and ory, exhaust, lid, filter, lca's, rcb, phb, strano springs, sway bars

That 2007 m3 is faster than his carrera was. A good driver can get 12.3s-12.5s @ 113-116mph bone stock down to the tires. I doubt your car can trap 113+mph with your mods.

Those are hard cars to beat, ive got a bit more mods then you do and i would lose against one. They pull about 350-360 RWHP stock and weight a bit more but thats very decieving because they have excellent gearing. Also on the traps as mentioned above its hard to beat but whats worse is they pull even better at higher speeds. See if he will race to begin with and hopefully it will be a closer race then we think.

Thats low numbers, im getting an A/F of 13.6 and need to be about 12.7. I was very disappointed in the numbers and need to get my computer re tuned. When my car ran a bit rich on the final run i pulled the best numbers but even then it was running too lean.

Lol you guys are talking about a 9whp difference. That could easily be different dynos/ different conditions and no two cars make the same power just because they have the same mods. Why would you be disappointed by 350whp with your mods. Thats where you should be, put it on a low reading mustang dyno and prepared to be real disappointed as you would probably only put down 310-320whp.

do you have a cut out, also we dont know how well the tune is, not to mention its not as easy to compare each others cars because as many dyno's ive seen the LS1 numbers are all over the place stock or modded.

FRA, it just means Free Ram Air mod. Wont do you any good on a dyno. I was more disappointed because i thought the car was running at its best A/F or close to. Its a bit high and i hate taking the computer out and sitting a few days waiting for it to get re tuned. Either way from what ive been hearing from alot of people about the numbers i should be happy with it.

The E46 M3 went from 01-06. There were no M3's in 07 and the new model or Gen. came out in 08.

Theyve got a lot of power but they are also heavy cars I think their low track times come from a a badass hook off the line. Heres one from you tune racing a c5 with an ls6 intake lt's and exhaust. The m3 has a tune, pulley, exhaust, and upgraded paddle shifters... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Momp1HPJ8XU[/ame]

MSRP is 54,500 for base, high 60s loaded. And i think they are worth 40-50k not 65-70k. They handle great, stop great and have the worlds lightest production 4.0 v8 that makes as much power as the so called super effecient DOHC 5.0. Cars arent priced by 1/4mile time and trap speed. There are 11 second cars out there for 5k
