Is it the new 3 series with the twin turbo 6 cylinder. Cause those with a tune only can run mid 12s at 110-113mph.

Only a couple of newer BMWs to look out for:

135i and 335i (respectively in pictures)- N54B30 engine, which is a 306hp 3.0L twin turbo inline 6. With just a flash tune, these can go easy 12s. Many go into the 11s with some bolt ons.

    M3 - S65B40 engine, 414hp 4.0L V8. These can go 4.1s 0-60, and mid 12s in stock form.

    M5 - S85B50 engine, 507hp 5.0L V10. These big 4 door saloons can go 0-60 in 4.1s, and run mid 12s in stock form.

M6 - same engine as the M5, but this is the 2 door version. Performance is similar to the M5.

If it's one of these, you might be in trouble.

Everything else, you shouldn't have any problem with.

No I meant twin, they have a turbo per 3 cylinders, two seperate exhaust manifolds on the same side of the engine.

I have many friends that purchased their new E92 M3's and they were 70K for a fully loaded M3 "BRAND NEW" here in California.

I have the original sticker on my 02 M3 and it was $59,798.00 back in 2002 so you know that the new V8 M3's are more than that. The M3 will really shine on the road course but it is not setup for drag racing. Now if someone wants to race from 65-150 watch out as the M series cars flat out haul ass top end. I have had mine at 160mph with the top down and it feels like you are doing 80mph.

Nice, but that one isnt even on the street yet, so the ops challenger couldnt have one of those.

I didnt mean they cost 45-50k I said thats what I think they are worth and what I would pay for a new v8 m3. For 70k get a z06 and handle just aswell but be lighter with a more powerful engine with more potential. The new v8 m3 pulls hard on the top end I agree, but the old inline 6 isnt anything for a ls1 to worry about low end or top end unless its turbo.

No reason to talk about it if it's not on the road yet.

    Maybe next year.

New 135, 335 and 535 all have the new N55, single turbo I-6 engine that uses twin-scroll technology. It is not a twin turbo.
