    Spark plugs 3.8V6

I want to replace the original platinum sparkplugs AC Delco 41-921 from my 3.8V6 Camaro (2001).

There are several topics about this issue, what is the best replacement:

AC Delco 41-101 or NGK PTR4B or NGK TR55IX
and should the gap be the same as original ?

Your 3800-II had Delco Iridiums (41-101) from the factory.... I run iriduims in everything.. Platnum 41-921's are not factory just an fyi.. You do not mess with the iridium gaps. They are factory set @ the proper gapping you can actually damage the electrodes trying to hand gap them.. NGK are junk plugs for the 3800-II imho..

I did not remove the original sparkplugs yet, i had read the user manual that the 41-921 was the original one.

I thought it was better to replace them, the car has only run 37.000km (23.000 miles) yet, but he is 9 years old.

    What does "fyi..." mean ?

fyi = for your info. If your car has the y87 package in the RPO code then it came with iridiums..

I have removed one sparkplug, and it is a AC Delco 41-921, it must be the orginal ones.
I am the second owner (almost 4 years, and bought it with 18.000miles), and the first owner (i spoke to him, and the garage, who delivered the car new) didn't replace them.

You know what, you're right! I have an old set of originals laying around checked the numbers and sure enough the numbers match the ones you posted.. My new ones are the 41-101's.. I can tell you though @ 80+k my old ones still look like yours. Good plug too in my book..
