    LOL

You would hate my car then...If someone on the car is not needed it gets removed and put on the rafters in the garage. (btw rafters are filling up quickly)

you are right...we will laugh ..i understand where you are coming from...but gluing the chambers on will look trashy and out of place ..so it will do much more to harm the look of your engine bay than do good. if you dont have FRCs..get them..they will take eyes off of the pulleys and to them.

I just don't like opening my hood...don't want to give the ricers an idea of what I have under it...

Yes FRC do take your eyes away from everything

I'm just a fan of a clean oem look. i think if I had a black car i wouldn't mind under the hood so much but there's just no style in a 4th gen under the hood. I think I need to get vette frcs for sure.

The lid outlet is a circle -- the resonator inlet is a squashed oval. It would certainly take some ingenuity and fab skills to make it work. Personally, I was thrilled to ditch that big ugly plastic piece, along with the secondary air system, the cruise module and wire harness over the passenger side wheelhouse.

Did I really just read that?
I think it looks so much cleaner with a lid.

Agreed. But then again I'm old school. I'm used to seeing engine and associated parts when I open the hood.

lol ok so maybe i just exaggerated a bit how i felt about the stock piece covering up the pulleys etc. Ive been staring at that lid pic for the last hour its growing on me. I think ill add red frc's or perhaps some black ones and leave it at that. time to pm mark@kyspeed !

Amen! That is why I really like our old cars -- only thing on the firewall is brakes, 2 heater hoses, a wire harness, throttle linkage and a wiper motor.

Jeff you are sort of right....I removed the wiper motor LOL! Gotta get rid of the weight!

My old c/10s you could climb in the engine bay and shut the hood there was so much room.

    Thumbs up

IMO, a lid really helps clean up the engine compartment, allows more airflow around the engine, and it's good for 10hp, my SLP lid was money well spent!

I had to laugh @ this because our engine bays (including the v6ers) in my oppy some of the most disorganized engine bays I've ever seen over the years. Remonisent(sp) of the "smogger" years with 1000 ft. of vacc hoses runing every which way.. I think most of the uglyness comes from the rediculas wiring harnesses too.. Good thing tho some of the guys have come up with mods to hide some of it. Part of the reason I started painting engine parts recently.. Now I'm trying to figure a way to relocate my coils to clean it up a bit and show off my hard work.. Then custom CAI is in the works too along with a blower and some more rerouting of hoses hard lines etc,etc,etc.. I like things to be exact, because, well, I'm anal about form and function..

silly thing is the 402 was way easier to work on than a stock 350 like mine was, weird. To the op, why don't you cut the baffles out of the stock lid since you seem determined to keep it? This was the first thing my dad did to his t/a vert back in '00
