Departing in a few weeks as well. This will be our second cruise. Dirt cheap deals on cruises right now ... under $100/day/person for a balconey room.

Lots of stuff to do.

24 hour food and drinks. I found that the drinks are comparably priced ... $5-8 per is what they were the last time, depending on what you ordered. Beer was $3.

Excursions are great. Last time, we rented buggies in Cozumel and ATVs in Costa Maya and went on a guided tours. Book them through the cruise line, though. Lot more secure.

You'll have fun ...

Yeah the hotties are faaaar and few between make sure to bring your own. Two of the cruises I was on we had storms so all the outside stuff was closed. I do think you can get travel insurance for stuff like that.

Went on a 7 day carnival cruise in July. Best vacation trip me and my wife have ever done. Beat Niagra falls, road trip across the country. It was an absolute blast. Keep in mind we love to party. If you are not into staying up 24/7 drinking and what not, it may not be THAT much fun.

It was a blast even without the party. We have told all our friends they have to go sometime.
