zo6 owner Picked the wrong fight!
So I was trying to do some street runs on the 240 cause im fixing to go to the dyno for a Final tune, I been changing alot again. So Im just circling around my block doing 2nd n 3rd gear pulls dialing in my timing and fuel doing data logs.
I was on my last run of the day when I turned around I noticed this z06 HAULING ASS up on me ( im cruisin 50-55mph) He stays on my ass for 1/2 mile and then gets over to pass. He is all checking the car out and just stays beside me now for a good mile. I Guess he was trying to figure out why it has such a DEEP v8 rumble. ( The Inline 6 puts out some good exhaust tone at low rpm) So I wanna see if he REALLY wants to try his luck. I drop it in 2nd and Stomp it, The turbo Spools and Im 2-4 cars ahead in like .2 secs. I back off and ease back beside him. I guess he figured out that was No 4cyl car and That was a BIG ass turbo spool/Whine and he WOULD NOT even look back at me. I think I totally Scared the shit out of him. For someone to come on me like he wanted some he sure didnt want non after he figured out what was about to happen. I can walk a stock zo6 8-10 cars easy by 140mph. I have done it 2 or 3 times. I was hoping to of had a little fun but he didnt wanna play anymore.
I would like to find a vette locally that has the sts turbo kit and do some top end pulls against them for fun. I believe I would have a good race.

Here was my toy, before I took her apart and retired her. This pic was before she went on a diet. Still had full interior and sunroof. I think she was running in the high 11s around this time, running low boost.
Build at retirement:
SR20DET
CP 9:1 Forged
Eagle Rods
Custom Ground I/E cam - staggered
Custom Manifold
Modified PeakBoost Kit
Greddy Intercooler
Garrett GT35R
Twin Walbro Pumps
Custom ROM tune
Exedy Hyper Triple
Stock Transmission
Tein Flex coilovers
240SX VLSD - Q45 final (3.69)
Driveshaft Shop axles
Mickey Thompsons out back
Boost by gear: 14psi 1st, 22psi 2nd, 30psi 3rd-4th. Launched off the 2 step.
Best pass to date: 10.18@140.04, 1.52 60'

So when you going to take it out of retirement? LOL
Mine has full interior also. Its actually ALOT heavier than stock, esp with the 6cyl. I need to get it on some scales but I bet its in the 2900-3100lb's

Mine was around 2400lbs. for the low 10s run. Car still had some interior but most of the non essential stuff was removed. The car was ridiculous when it got up to speed, as a 140mph trap car should be. I don't remember losing to anything on the street on the setup I was running before I retired her.

Sold the chassis to a friend. I still have the motor setup though.
I haven't had time to do much lately, but I'm currently working on a nitrous kit for the LS1 car. Shits going to be nasty. I got spanked by a bunch of turbo Hondas last time at the track and on the street. Can't have that happen again.

ha ha ya you can't let the Honda boys get too much pride!
I still vote for a turbo setup on the ls1 :}
That gt35 you had on the sr would make enough extra power on the stock ls1 internals

Good Luck! A buddy of mine had a shop put a kit on his ls1 camaro. 100shot. He had 30k on the camaro and he got 6 passes at the track before it spun every main bearing in it.
