Hmm...I've never seen gains quite that high. Not calling B.S. or anything like that though. I have a lot of experience w/ 5.0's and 4.6's, have owned a couple, and the usual gains I saw from an off-road H-pipe were around 10rwhp. I agree that 160whp stock doesn't sound right.

you have obviously never been to PR... down here, with all the humidity and heat... most cars throw down low numbers...and considering it is a 14 year old car... the numbers seems about right

What is PR? Yeah I obviously don't go there much. And what does the year of a car have to do with anything? I just put a 15 year old '93 Z28 M6 w/ 127k miles on the rollers and it was right where it should of been. As long as a motor is in sound condition years don't mean much.

Its pretty common actually. Mustangs gain nothing from catbacks, everything is gained from removing the cats and the larger mid pipe. I put 257 down to the wheels with just long tube headers, no cats and a catback.
Well my buddies 5.0 was low mileage, I think like 15k.

The major problem with catbacks is that everyone goes with the flowmasters 5.slows. My buddy has dynomax dumps but I think on his old 5.0 engine, the AC delete gave him a nice jump on power. Well he has plugs, ignition and wires but that is just standard maintenance stuff.
It runs high 13s with traction.

Your buddy is a good driver! My '90 25th Anniv. GT wen't 14.9x/93 in stock form. I bumped the timing up to 12* BTDC, short-belt swap, removed stock air box, removed rear sway bar and got in the mid 14's. After Flowtech long-tubes, Flowtech X-pipe, Flowmaster 1-chambers I was still in the 14's on street rubber.

His is on DR's but with Summit Racing brand control arms. His battery is in the trunk as well. His best time was with two 12'' subs in the trunk to.
ohh shit, I forgot he has an aluminum driveshaft as well. Im not sure if dyno numbers are affected by driveshafts that much

Here is a dyno graph of a stock fox body from Florida. The lower number is the car with an auto, the bigger is after the stock t5 5spd swap.
